Software Asset Management Automation

Flexera and ServiceNow SAM give you the inventory and the cost data. We connect them to the systems that act on it — and automate the workflows that reclaim licenses, enforce compliance, and prove the savings.

  • Flexera Specialist Partner

Flexera's recognized technical partner tier, with implementation focus on Snow Productivity Optimizer.

  • Deployments across seven countries

Live engagements in the Nordics, UK, Ireland, Germany, the United States, Asia-Pacific, and Australia.

  • Government, manufacturing, financial services

National welfare agencies, global manufacturers, asset managers, and infrastructure operators among current clients.

What this engagement does

Most enterprise SAM tools — Flexera chief among them — track both on-premises entitlements (Microsoft server, Oracle, SAP, Adobe perpetual, engineering apps) and SaaS subscriptions (M365, Adobe Creative Cloud, Salesforce). They give you accurate inventory and clear usage signals across the whole estate — and then most of that signal sits in a dashboard while licenses keep renewing, unused seats keep getting paid for, and provisioning still runs through manual tickets.

SousFlow operates the layer below the SAM tool. We don't tune your Flexera normalization rules or operate your SAM platform — Flexera and your SAM team own that. We connect Flexera's usage data and optimization signals to the systems that can act on them, and automate the actual execution of the optimizations the SAM tool says should happen.

The pipeline isn't tied to specific products. Any SaaS subscription with an admin API, any on-prem application deployable through your deployment engine — SCCM, Intune, or AD-driven — fits the same pattern. The platforms named in the scenarios below are examples from current engagements; they aren't the boundary of what's possible.

On the on-premises side that work is often higher leverage — one automation pipeline against SCCM, Intune, or AD/Entra ID groups handles dozens of applications at once, because the deployment engine is shared. On the SaaS side integrations are per-platform, but the same usage-signal-to-action principle applies.

For most engagements that means two things:

  1. Get the SAM signals flowing where they need to go. Usage data from Flexera into ServiceNow, SCCM, Intune, Entra ID, M365 admin, and your HR-driven lifecycle workflows. So the signal isn't trapped in the SAM tool.
  2. Automate the execution of the optimizations. Unused install → uninstall via SCCM; unused E5 license → downgrade in M365; unused Adobe seat → revoke. All without manual hands in the middle.

The result isn't a better SAM dashboard. It's an environment where Flexera's data actually changes what happens to licenses, users, and provisioning workflows.

Where SousFlow adds value

  • Signal integration

Pull Flexera's application usage data and optimization signals into ServiceNow, Entra ID, Intune, SCCM, and M365 admin — wherever the action needs to happen.

  • Execution automation

The workflows that turn SAM signals into action: on-prem application reclamation through SCCM and Intune, SaaS license reclamation and downgrades, lifecycle provisioning — all automated end-to-end.

  • Operational handover

What we build, we hand over running. Not advisory, not babysitting — automation your team can own and Flexera's data continues to drive.

Typical engagements

Three patterns that recur across customer environments. Same principle — Flexera's data drives the execution — different lanes.

On-prem application reclamation via the deployment engine

A global manufacturer had Flexera detecting hundreds of unused on-prem application installs — Adobe Acrobat Pro, AutoCAD, Microsoft Visio, specialty engineering tools — but no automation to actually uninstall them. SousFlow built the pipeline: Flexera's usage data feeds into a ServiceNow workflow that updates the user's AD/Entra ID group memberships and triggers SCCM or Intune to remove the application from the affected endpoints. One pipeline covers dozens of applications because the deployment engine — not the application — is what we automate against. Reclamation now runs continuously across the estate without manual hands.

Adobe Creative Cloud license optimization at scale

A national welfare agency had Flexera showing detailed Adobe Creative Cloud usage data but no automated path to act on it. SousFlow built the optimization pipeline: Flexera's usage signals drive ServiceNow workflows that revoke unused licenses, and — where a user's mix of individual single-app licenses costs more than a consolidated bundle — automatically restructure the entitlements into the cheaper bundle SKU. Both reclamation and right-sizing run continuously, not as an annual audit.

M365 and beyond — multi-platform SaaS reclamation

A global financial services firm already had Flexera-driven M365 license reclamation in place. The same usage signals existed for Adobe Creative Cloud and Salesforce — but only M365 was being acted on. SousFlow extended the reclamation pipeline: Flexera's usage signals feed into ServiceNow per-platform workflows, each triggering native-API integrations that disable or downgrade the affected user. Adobe and Salesforce now reclaim on the same cadence as M365, with audit-trail writeback to Flexera.

How we work

NDA-protected discovery, fixed-scope build, production handover. Not advisory. Not hourly. The deliverable is automation that runs itself — operated by your team once we hand it over.

  • 500+ employee organizations
  • Government, regulated industries, and enterprise welcome
  • NDA-protected discovery as standard
  • Fixed-scope build, not hourly consulting
